November 3 — More Than Just Hearing
Verse: James 1:22
“Do not merely listen to the word, and so deceive yourselves. Do what it says.”
It is possible to know Scripture, attend church regularly, and still struggle to put God's Word into practice.
Knowledge alone does not produce spiritual maturity. Transformation begins when what we hear becomes what we live.
Forgiveness must move beyond understanding into action. Love must become more than words, and faith must influence our everyday decisions.
God's Word was never meant to simply fill our minds. It was meant to transform our hearts and direct our lives.
Prayer:
Father, help me not only hear Your Word but live according to it. Give me a willing heart to obey You, even when it is difficult. May my actions reflect the truth I believe. In Jesus' name, Amen.
