And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:7 
God’s peace does not always remove the storm. But it guards you inside it.
The word “guard” is a military term. It means to stand watch. Your mind is a battlefield.
Your heart is a doorway. God’s peace stands like a soldier at the entrance. You may not understand the situation. But you can be protected in it.
A mother sat outside the ICU while her child was in surgery. She had no answers. No control. No guarantees. But she whispered, “Lord, You are here.” Her circumstances didn’t change immediately. But her heart was steadied.
Peace does not mean everything is solved. It means you are not alone while it is being solved.    You don’t need to understand everything. You need to be guarded.
Let God hold what you cannot control.
Prayer
Father, guard my thoughts today. Stand watch over my heart. Where anxiety tries to enter, let Your peace stand stronger. Amen.
