2 Corinthians 12:9 — Strength in Weakness
But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me. 2 Corinthians 12: 9
“My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.”
We often try to hide weakness, but God works through it. Paul prayed for his struggle to be removed, yet God gave something better — sustaining grace. Weakness reminds us we depend on God, and dependence allows His strength to be visible.
A person facing ongoing health limitations once felt frustrated and inadequate. Yet through his vulnerability he encouraged many others who were struggling. His testimony carried more comfort than perfect advice ever could. What he thought disqualified him became the very place God’s strength appeared.
God does not wait for our strength to help us. He meets us inside our need.
Prayer
Lord, teach me to trust Your grace in my weakness. When I feel insufficient, remind me that Your strength sustains me. Let Your power rest upon my life and work through my limitations. Amen.
