November 20 — A Heart Free From Envy
Verse: Proverbs 14:30
“A heart at peace gives life to the body, but envy rots the bones.”
Envy often begins when we focus more on what others possess than on what God has given us.
It can turn someone's blessing into a reason for our dissatisfaction.
But another person's success is not evidence that God has forgotten us.
A content heart learns to celebrate others without measuring its own worth against their achievements.
When gratitude replaces envy, we begin to recognize the goodness already present in our lives.
Prayer:
Father, remove jealousy and envy from my heart. Help me rejoice in the blessings of others and remain grateful for Your provision in my life. Teach me to find contentment in You. In Jesus' name, Amen.
