November 19 — When God Uses the Ordinary
Verse: Exodus 4:2
“Then the LORD said to him, ‘What is that in your hand?’ ‘A staff,’ he replied.”
When God called Moses, He drew attention to something Moses already possessed: an ordinary staff.
What seemed insignificant became an instrument used in God's extraordinary work.
We sometimes believe we need greater abilities, resources, or opportunities before God can use us.
But God often begins with what is already in our hands.
Your skills, experiences, time, and willingness can become meaningful when surrendered to Him.
Instead of focusing only on what you lack, consider how you can faithfully use what God has already entrusted to you.
Prayer:
Lord, help me recognize the gifts and opportunities You have placed in my life. Remove my excuses and give me a willing heart to serve You. Use what I have for Your glory. In Jesus' name, Amen.
