November 18 — The Freedom of Forgiveness
Verse: Colossians 3:13
“Forgive as the Lord forgave you.”
Forgiveness is not always easy, especially when someone has deeply hurt or disappointed us.
Holding on to resentment may feel justified, but bitterness can slowly affect our peace and relationships.
Forgiveness does not mean pretending the wrong never happened or removing every necessary boundary.
It means choosing to release revenge and entrust justice to God.
Because we have received grace through Christ, we are called to extend forgiveness to others.
Prayer:
Heavenly Father, help me forgive those who have hurt me. Remove bitterness from my heart and give me wisdom to maintain healthy boundaries. Teach me to extend the same grace and mercy You have shown me. In Jesus' name, Amen.
