November 12 — Choosing the Better Part
Verse: Luke 10:42
“Mary has chosen what is better, and it will not be taken away from her.”
Martha was busy serving, while Mary chose to sit at the feet of Jesus and listen.
Serving God is important, but even good responsibilities can become distractions when we neglect our relationship with Him.
Sometimes, we become so occupied with doing things for God that we forget to spend time with God.
Our spiritual lives cannot be sustained by activity alone.
Before allowing the demands of the day to consume your attention, make room to hear His voice through His Word.
Prayer:
Lord, help me never become too busy to spend time with You. Teach me to prioritize Your presence above distractions and responsibilities. May my service flow from a heart that truly knows You. In Jesus' name, Amen.
