October 20 — Stay Connected to the Source
Verse: John 15:5
“Apart from Me you can do nothing.”
You can become so focused on building your life that you forget the One who gives life meaning.
You work.
Plan.
Improve.
Solve.
Prepare.
But Jesus reminds you that lasting fruit comes from abiding.
Not striving endlessly.
Abiding means staying connected to Him throughout ordinary life.
Talking to Him while driving.
Inviting Him into work.
Remembering Him during decisions.
Turning to Him when you are overwhelmed.
Letting Scripture shape how you think.
Your relationship with God is not another task on your schedule.
It is the source everything else grows from.
Before you ask God to bless what you're building, stay close to the One you're building it with.
Prayer:
Father, keep me close to You. Do not let busyness, ambition, relationships, or responsibilities pull me away from Your presence. Let everything I build flow from abiding in You.
