October 5 — Allow God to Redirect You
Verse: Proverbs 16:9
“In their hearts humans plan their course, but the Lord establishes their steps.”
You can sincerely believe you know where your life is going.
And then something changes.
A door closes.
A relationship develops differently than expected.
A career opportunity appears somewhere else.
A timeline shifts.
Redirection can feel uncomfortable because it reminds you that you are not in control.
But sometimes the interruption is actually guidance.
Not every change is a setback.
Some changes are God moving you toward something you could not have planned for yourself.
Stay teachable.
Stay prayerful.
Stay willing to say:
“Lord, I had a plan, but I want Your direction more.”
You are allowed to make plans.
Just leave room for God to edit them.
Prayer:
Father, establish my steps. When You redirect me, help me not resist You simply because the new path feels unfamiliar. Give me a flexible heart and the confidence to follow wherever You lead.
