October 16 — Love Is More Than a Feeling
Verse: 1 Corinthians 13:4–7
“Love is patient, love is kind.”
Love can feel exciting.
But Scripture describes love mostly through character and action.
Patience.
Kindness.
Humility.
Forgiveness.
Perseverance.
Love is not merely how strongly someone feels.
It is how consistently those feelings become care.
Healthy love does not demand that you abandon wisdom.
It does not require you to ignore repeated harmful behaviour.
And it does not mean two people will never disagree.
Real love creates space for truth, respect, growth, and grace.
Ask God not only to help you find love.
Ask Him to teach you how to love well.
The strongest relationships are built not only on affection, but on character.
Prayer:
Father, teach me what genuine love looks like. Help me love with patience, kindness, honesty, wisdom, and grace. Shape me into someone capable of building healthy and God-honouring relationships.
