2 Corinthians 5:7
Walking by sight feels safe because it depends on what we can see, measure, and predict. Walking by faith feels risky because it depends on trust. Yet Scripture reminds us that faith is not blindness—it is confidence in God’s character.
A child crossing a busy road holds the father’s hand tightly. The child does not understand traffic patterns or signals, but trust makes the crossing possible. The father sees what the child cannot. Faith works the same way. God sees the road ahead even when we don’t.
Many believers wait for certainty before obedience. We want God to reveal the full plan before taking the first step. But faith grows through movement. God often reveals the next step only after we take the current one.
Walking by faith does not mean ignoring reality. It means refusing to let reality define God’s ability. Faith acknowledges challenges but chooses trust over fear.
Often, faith is not about big leaps—it is about small steps taken consistently.
Reflection:
What step of obedience have you been delaying because you want clarity first?
Prayer:
Lord, help me walk by faith today. I trust You with the steps I cannot yet see. Lead me, and I will follow. Amen.
