Isaiah 26:3
These words were spoken to a people living with uncertainty and fear. They did not come from a peaceful environment, but from a promise spoken into instability. God was not denying the reality of trouble. He was offering something deeper than relief—His peace.
Peace is not the absence of chaos. It is the presence of trust. Isaiah reminds us that peace is not something we manufacture by controlling outcomes. It is something God keeps for those who fix their minds on Him.
In everyday life, our thoughts often drift toward what could go wrong. We replay conversations, worry about tomorrow, or carry yesterday’s regrets. Slowly, our minds become crowded, and peace feels distant. But Scripture gently points us back. Peace grows where trust lives.
Imagine anchoring a boat during a storm. The waves still move, the wind still blows, but the boat remains steady because it is secured to something stronger. When our minds are anchored in God, we are kept, even when life feels unsteady.
God does not promise a life without storms. He promises peace for those who keep their eyes on Him.
Reflection:
Where has your mind been resting lately—on your worries, or on God?
Prayer:
Lord, guard my heart and my mind. Help me fix my thoughts on You when life feels overwhelming. Teach me to trust You fully, and keep me in Your perfect peace. Amen.
