1 John 4:18-19
Fear thrives where love is uncertain. John teaches that fear fades not through effort, but through assurance of love. Many believers struggle not because they lack faith, but because they doubt God’s heart toward them.
In real life, fear often shows up as anxiety, insecurity, or control. A child who feels unloved becomes fearful; a child who feels secure becomes bold. God’s love brings that same security.
Perfect love does not mean flawless behavior—it means fully received love. When we believe God loves us completely, fear loses its voice.
Reflection:
Are you living from fear or from the confidence of being loved?
Prayer:
Lord, help me receive Your love fully. Let Your perfect love cast out every fear within me. Amen.
