Numbers 13:20
Moses asked the spies to bring back fruit from the land—not just a report. He wanted them to see evidence of promise, not just obstacles. Yet when the spies returned, most focused on giants instead of grapes.
In real life, this happens often. Two people experience the same situation—one sees possibility, the other sees limitation. Fear magnifies problems; faith notices provision.
A job seeker may hear ten rejections and forget the one open door. A family in crisis may focus on what is missing instead of what remains. Courage is not pretending giants don’t exist—it is refusing to let giants define reality.
The fruit in Canaan proved God’s promise was real before possession began. God often gives us glimpses of fruit to strengthen faith while we wait.
Reflection:
What fruit has God already shown you that fear has overshadowed?
Prayer:
Lord, help me see Your promise more clearly than my fear. Give me courage to believe what You have shown me. Amen.
