Romans 8:26
There are moments when prayer feels impossible. Words disappear. Emotions overwhelm. Silence fills the space where prayers used to be. Paul reassures us: even then, the Spirit is at work.
In real life, grief, exhaustion, or confusion can paralyze prayer. But the Spirit does not wait for eloquence. He intercedes with groanings too deep for words. God hears what we cannot say.
Think of a parent understanding a child’s cry before words form. The Spirit communicates our deepest needs to God with perfect understanding.
You are never praying alone—even when you feel empty.
Reflection:
Are you allowing the Spirit to help you pray when words fail?
Prayer:
Holy Spirit, intercede for me today. Carry my unspoken burdens before God. Amen.
