Ephesians 6:10
Paul does not say, “Be strong in yourself.” He says, “Be strong in the Lord.” This distinction matters. Human strength has limits—physical, emotional, and mental. God’s strength does not.
In everyday life, we often push ourselves beyond healthy limits. We rely on willpower, discipline, or experience. But eventually, fatigue sets in. Strength fades. Discouragement follows.
Think of a device running on low battery. It still works—but slowly, unreliably, and briefly. Real strength returns only when it is connected to a power source. God invites us to draw strength from Him, not just during crisis, but daily.
Being strong in the Lord means learning when to rest, when to pray, and when to stop striving. God’s strength flows through surrender, not self-reliance.
Reflection:
Where are you relying on your own strength instead of God’s?
Prayer:
Lord, I lean into Your strength today. Teach me to depend on You rather than pushing myself alone. Amen.
