Psalm 73:26
The psalmist speaks honestly: the body fails, emotions weaken, and strength fades. Faith does not deny human fragility—it acknowledges it. What matters is where strength is drawn from when personal reserves run out.
In real life, people rely on many forms of strength—health, money, reputation, relationships. When these fail, fear rises. But the psalmist declares a deeper truth: God remains when everything else fades.
Think of a phone battery dying. Apps stop working, brightness fades, performance slows. Strength returns only when connected to a power source. We are the same. God is not an emergency backup; He is the source.
God becomes most real when self-reliance ends.
Reflection:
Where have you been drawing strength from apart from God?
Prayer:
Lord, be the strength of my heart when I am weak. I depend on You completely. Amen.
