“Being confident of this, that He who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.” — Philippians 1:6
As the year draws to a close, you might look back at unfinished goals or unanswered prayers. But remember—God never leaves His work halfway. What He starts, He sustains. Even when progress seems slow, His hands are still shaping you. The calendar may end, but His promises don’t. A sculptor once said, “The image was always in the stone—I just kept chipping away.” God is doing the same with your life—removing what’s unnecessary so His image shines through.
Sometimes, we measure progress by what we see, but God measures it by what He’s forming within. You may not be where you hoped to be, but you’re not where you once were either. Each moment of surrender, each tear, and each trial has been part of His beautiful process. The Author of your story doesn’t stop mid-chapter—He writes until redemption fills every line.
Prayer:
Lord, thank You that You never give up on me. Help me trust Your timing and believe that every work You’ve begun in my life will be completed in Your perfect way. Amen.
