2 Timothy 1:7 reminds us that fear is not from God, and that He equips His children with everything needed to walk in courage and clarity.
“For God has not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.” 2 Timothy 1:7
Fear often enters quietly — through a thought, a what-if, or a memory that replays too loudly. It convinces us that we are weak or alone. But Paul reminds Timothy — and us — that fear is not God’s gift. If it didn’t come from Him, it has no right to stay.
Think of fear like a fog on a mountain road. It blurs your vision and slows your pace. But when the light of truth shines, the fog lifts, and the path becomes clear again. That light is God’s Spirit — filling you with power to act, love to overcome, and a sound mind to stay steady.
So when anxiety whispers, “You can’t,” answer boldly, “But God can — and He lives in me.”
You are not a slave to fear; you are a vessel of divine strength and love.
“Fear is a liar — faith is your language.”
Prayer: Lord, thank You for replacing my fear with Your Spirit of power, love, and soundness of mind. When fear rises, let Your truth rise higher in me. Fill me with courage to walk boldly in Your calling. Amen.
