“If God’s hands began it, His mercy will finish it.” Psalm 138:8 is a powerful declaration of God’s commitment to finish what He started, both in your life and through your life.
“The Lord will perfect that which concerns me; Your mercy, O Lord, endures forever; do not forsake the works of Your own hands.” Psalm 138:8

There are seasons when you look at your life and think, “This can’t be it. I thought things would be different by now.” But God gently reminds you — He’s not finished yet.
When David wrote these words, he wasn’t celebrating a completed victory — he was declaring faith in an unfinished one. He trusted that the same hands that shaped him would sustain him.
Think of a sculptor who carefully molds clay into form. Every detail, every curve, every refinement takes time. The clay may not understand the pressure, but the artist knows exactly what he’s creating. You are that masterpiece in progress — being perfected by the hands that made heaven and earth.
So even when you don’t see progress, trust His process. God’s mercy isn’t temporary; it’s forever. He never abandons the work of His own hands — and that means you are safe in His keeping.
Prayer: Lord, thank You for working in the areas of my life that still need Your touch. When I grow anxious or impatient, remind me that You will perfect what concerns me. Let Your mercy keep shaping me until I reflect Your glory. Amen.
