"But He was pierced for our transgressions, He was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was on Him, and by His stripes we are healed."
— Isaiah 53:5 (NIV)

This morning, I’ve been thinking deeply about the stripes that Jesus took for us.
According to Jewish law, a person could be whipped only 39 times—no more.
But the Romans were ruthless, and they didn’t follow Jewish law.
So we don’t even know how many lashes Jesus actually endured.

Some people didn’t even survive that kind of scourging.
But Jesus chose to take every lash.
His body was torn—so yours could be made whole.

Today, if you're:
– Struggling with sickness
– Worried about a medical report
– Feeling overwhelmed by treatment
– Facing symptoms that trouble you
– Or simply walking through a difficult recovery

I want to remind you:
By His stripes—you are healed.
You are not alone in your suffering.
Jesus took those lashes for you, so you don’t have to walk this journey by yourself.

Every drop of blood He shed was intentional.
Every strike He endured was for love.
For you.

Take heart today—
He loves you deeply, and He is with you always.
Be encouraged.
Healing belongs to you.
