"Whoever diligently seeks good seeks favour, but evil comes to him who searches for it."
— Proverbs 11:27 (ESV)

The Word of God is clear—what we look for, we will find.

Sometimes, our natural tendency is to notice the negative.
We look for faults in people, problems in our jobs, issues in our friendships, or reasons to complain about where we live.
Without realising it, we develop an unhealthy habit of searching for what’s wrong.

But the Bible warns us—if we search for evil, it will find its way back to us.

Instead, God calls us to seek the good.
Look for things to be thankful for—
The good in people,
The good in your workplace,
The good in your family,
The good in your friends,
And even the blessings in the nation you live in.

When you seek the good, you attract the favour of God.
His blessing follows those who choose gratitude over criticism, faith over fear, and light over darkness.

So today—quit the witch hunt.
Stop searching for the bad, and start celebrating the good.
And you’ll find yourself walking in God’s best.
